If two heads are better than one, does that mean 3 Guns will be better than 2? Let's hope so. According to producer , there is a push being made for a 2 Guns sequel. Of course, it seems like there are quite a few "ifs" in the equation.
"I mean, I think we’re having that conversation. You know, I don’t wanna be so bold to say, you know, it’s 100%. Of course it comes down to Denzel and Mark and the director, Baltasar [Kormákur], who’s doing Everest now, who have to make that decision. We, of course, would love to do a sequel and we are pushing for a sequel."
I guess the question that keeps creeping into my mind is...why?
Sure, the first film doubled its money, and then only when one factors in international sales, but is that usually enough for a studio to move forward on a sequel to a forgettable action film? Is Universal this desperate for franchises? I thought the first film was quite basic and mostly dull so I won't shed a tear if they aren't able to achieve the staggering feat of signing , , and director .
What do you guys think?
