To avoid fainting, keep repeating 'It's only a movie...It's only a movie...'

Star Trek Into Darkness blew a lot of fans away in the cinema, but the sheer spectacle of that special effects budgetry means that audiences can easily miss the little things. Since the release of Star Trek Into Darkness on DVD, however, a viewer with the visual capacities of a security droid has spotted an awesome little secret.

Around the one hour and seventeen minute mark, look who turns up:

R2-D2! He's very versatile, you can stick him in any movie. Sex and the City 2 would have been a lot better with his chirpy little beeps of wisdom echoing through Manhattan.

The little guy pops up in the part of Star Trek Into Darkness when the Vengeance is shooting at the Enterprise in warp. Quick, Star Trek fans - to your DVD players! Wait...I've just realised I now have an appropriate context in which to say...'These ARE the droids you're looking for'! Today is a good day.
