The confirmed cast for Avengers: Infinity War is already pretty huge, but one more name just got added to the list (and you might've seen it coming). A new set photo from Scotland posted on Twitter this week reveals that Paul Bettany's Vision is back in action, shooting scenes for in the Scottish capital city of Edinburgh.

Check out the photo of Bettany on set below, and scroll down for more HQ close-ups and pics of the set where Infinity War is currently shooting.

In full make-up, Bettany seems to be on a wire suggesting he or his stunt double are performing some stunt work. While the photos don't reveal anything specific to the plot, what is revealing is who else was spied shooting alongside Paul Bettany — specifically, nobody but stuntmen.

More Infinity War:

The complete absence of any Avenger could suggest that this might be some kind of solo mission for Vision or, alternatively, an early sequence in the movie in which we find out what he's been doing in the time since Civil War. That said, rumors suggest Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson and Benedict Cumberbatch would also be shooting on the Edinburgh set later in the week.

There's also a short video of a stunt being performed — it looks like the stuntwoman dressed in all black is doubling for Scarlett Johansson, so presumably this scene involves Black Widow being thrown backward by an unseen force. No word on whether this one involves Vision or not.

Vision may have taken a back seat during Civil War, when he wasn't having his ass handed to him by Scarlet Witch, but the fact that his forehead contains one of the six Infinity Stones needed by Thanos to complete that Infinity Gauntlet suggests he'll have a major role to play this time round. Will he sacrifice himself, or will he betray his friends and go freely to Thanos? No hero ever really dies in a movie, but the odds really don't look good for Vision right now.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.

Will Infinity War be the death of Vision, or will the MCU find a way to keep him alive?
