I don't know about you, but I don't want to hear ANY Ghostbusters news unless it's news confirming is on-board for the sequel. The comedy-legend has long been resisting calls for a third Ghostbusters movie, despite the blessings from both and .
It seems the team behind the proposed sequel have grown tied of waiting for Murray to finally succumb to the pressure, instead they've gone ahead and cast some fresh faces. Schmoes Know is reporting that and have both been approached to star in Ghostbusters 3.
According to their source, which hasn't been corroborated by an official statements, Hill and Stone will play characters named Jeremy and Anna respectively. There's no exact details on the roles, but speculation is suggesting they could be the son and/or daughter of one of the original Ghostbusters.
Of course, just to reiterate, this is all still in Rumorville. There's no confirmation the offers have been made, been accept or indeed even exist. However, I'm certainly happy with these first casting rumors. Both Hill and Stone (who of course enjoyed a brief spoof of Ghostbusters in Zombieland) have proven themselves individually, while Superbad also showed there's some serious comedy chemistry going on between the two of them.
What do you think? Do you like these casting rumors? And are you willing to accept a Bill Murray-less Ghostbusters 3? Let us know below.
