(WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Season 3 of Star Wars Rebels.)

This is part of the fun of participating in any fandom, including : speculation. Thinking ahead as to what could happen and debating your theories is always a good time, especially when these theories are as detailed and as well researched as any college-level history paper. While this is no way based on fact (nor is it a college-length paper) I do believe we'll see a new Fulcrum in Season 4 of .

The big question now is just who will become the new informant for the Rebellion? We had Ashoka Tano, padawan to Anakin Skywalker himself, and we had Agent Kallus right after that, voiced by the incredibly talented David Oyelowo. Now, a new spy will have to step up to the plate to help out our heroes.

An Open Vacancy

In the Season 3 finale, Agent Kallus was exposed as Fulcrum to Grand Admiral and was taken prisoner before ultimately escaping and formally joining the Rebel Alliance. This leaves a vacant spot for the Fulcrum position that works with Phoenix Squadron. We know that there are multiple Fulcrums out there, each handling a different sector, so having one role so clearly vacant might need to be filled. Chances are, the position is completely blown at this point, but the Rebels will still need their intelligence. This leads me to their possible new liaison, at least for a few episodes.

Damaged Goods

In case you didn't know already, Cassian Andor, the brash and damaged Captain from was actually a Fulcrum agent before volunteering to steal the Death Star plans. According to his character biography, his involvement was as a recruitment agent in the Albarrio sector. Since he was Fulcrum before the events of Rogue One and the rebels are in dire need of some new recruits after losing so many ships in the Rebels finale, it makes sense that the Rebellion (now based at Yavin 4) would be in need of some personnel and would benefit from traveling across the sectors to bring in new faces. It'd be great to see Cassian (and of course, K2) return and watch him struggling with the orders he alluded to in Rogue One.

New And Old Faces Will Return

It was alluded in an episode of Rebels Recon (The after-show for Rebels) that there would be some interesting returning characters (including Saw Gerrera) and other interesting new faces. While this certainly isn't an outward confirmation, it does suggest that the number of people the Ghost crew will be interacting with will definitely increase. I really hope Cassian and K2 are part of that adventure, even if it's only for an episode or two. Seeing as how the show is almost at Rogue One's doorstep now, and the crew have migrated to Yavin 4, I'd say the odds of them crossing paths have increased dramatically.
