Few films have been shrouded in as much secrecy as 's Man of Steel. As a result of this impregnable veil of silence, the internet has risen to rapidly fill the information vacuum with its own speculation and insight. We've already heard suggestions that Starro and/or Kelor will be making an appearance in Man of Steel, and now we can add one more name to that list: Martian Manhunter.
So the evidence to back up this bold-faced claim isn't exactly infallible, but I suppose it does have some credibility. According to Comic Book Movie, a Martian Manhunter fanatic has uncovered a set photo which suggests could be playing the intergalactic superhero.
Lennix is down to play a role in Man of Steel. He'll be donning a US military uniform to portray General Swanwick, however a candid set photo suggests he will also be dressing up in a different get-up of sorts. The picture shows Lennix wearing a special CGI suit which, considering he's playing a desk-bound general, is little bit suspicious. Take a look:
The eagle-eyed fan also suggested the X-shaped straps across the chest closely resembles the costume usually worn by the Martian Manhunter. Hmmm, he's got a point, although I think we might be jumping to conclusions.
Snyder has originally stated that Man of Steel would feature some nods to the extended DC universe, a lot of which is currently ripe for rebooting for the Justice League Part One movie. Furthermore, Martian Manhunter is a member of the Justice League, so it would make some sense to introduce him in a run up to DC's superhero ensemble. Having-said-that, I can imagine this origin movie will primarily be a Superman-centric affair. Introducing another fully-fledged superhero into the mix before we've really got to know the Man of Steel could be a bit too much.
