When it was announced in August that would be starring in the new AMC pilot, Line of Sight, fans of The Walking Dead became worried that the days of The Governor were counted.

However, they might have worried too early, because in an interview to EW, the actor declared that his appearance in an other show's pilot did not necessarily mean the death of The Governor. He said:

I had a little hiatus on The Walking Dead and we filmed that pilot. So I’m waiting to see. But I like The Walking Dead. I am part of The Walking Dead. I really hope to make it to season 5 of The Walking Dead. I don’t know what’s going to happen — that’s an AMC decision, not mine.

The Walking Dead is my show and I’m very proud of it and I want to be a part of that. Suffice it to say I am a Walking Dead actor and that is the show that I employed to do, and the show I love.

So it seems from these comments that the new show's future is still unsure; but even if Line of Sight is picked up, we could still possibly see him as The Walking Dead's one-eyed antagonist. It can also happen that Morrissey will find the time to act in both shows: occurring as an occasional threat to put Rick's group in danger in one and as a plane crash survivor transportation board investigator in the other.

Do you think Morrissey could star in both shows? Or will the destiny of one depend on the other?
