Woody Harrelson has been confirmed to star in the upcoming #HanSolo movie, and he couldn't be more excited. In a recent interview with Collider, the actor spoke about his upcoming role in the new #PlanetoftheApes movie, and shared what little information he could about his #StarWars plans.

It was reported earlier this month that Harrelson was in talks with Lucasfilm about the role, and it looks like things panned out just perfectly for him. Harrelson certainly didn't conceal his joy at snagging the part, expressing his excitement for the opportunity:
"It’s mind-blowing. I can’t really… you know, I never would’ve imagined that I’d get this opportunity so I’m really pumped about it."
Details on the 2018 film are still under wraps, so Harrelson's under strict instruction to stay tight-lipped. He did, however, reveal that his character would be a mentor to young Han Solo:
"They’re pretty top secret about the script and the story… It’ll be cool to be mentoring Han Solo, that will be cool.
The film will follow the very early adventures of Han Solo, and quite possibly his humble beginnings in the world of crime. His mentor, played by Harrelson, might just teach him a thing or two about smuggling goods and dealing with Hutt gangsters. And if Harrelson's performance in The Hunger Games is anything to go by, then he's going to do a pretty fantastic job.
An Epic Cast
Star Wars has a reputation for casting relatively unknown actors in their films, and the Han Solo anthology movie is no exception. Harrelson's going to be sharing a lot of screen time with Alden Ehrenreich, who's set to star as Solo.
Harrelson will also be hanging out on set with Donald Glover (who will play Lando Calrissian) and Emilie Clarke, whose character is yet to be named— though it's rumoured that she may be playing Han Solo's wife, Sana.

It's Already Got The Woody Stamp Of Approval
Not only is he super stoked with his new part, but he's confident that the film is going to be top-notch. Harrelson is a big fan of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller— and according to him, a movie is only as good as its director:
"I really like those directors [Phil Lord and Chris Miller], I think they’re really great. You know let’s face it, almost any movie, if the director’s great then the movie has a shot, but if they’re not obviously you’ve got very little chance of a good movie. I just feel great to be a part of that. What a cool thing."
