A creepy vintage book about a doll and a teddy bear that make a pact to stay together, forever, is probably a good place to start if you were thinking of picking a perfect stalking book. And, unfortunately for X-Men: Days Of Future Past star , The Lonely Doll is just that.
According to NY Daily News, an intruder broke into the Greenwich Village home of Janssen over the weekend. Famke had been out all day "running errands" and when she returned - instead of summoning beefy co-star for some moral support - the actress immediately called the police and informed them that although nothing had been taken, someone had left the ominous-looking kids book on her shelf.
It's no surprise that Famke was unnerved by it, either! Here's an extract from The Lonely Doll:
She lived in a nice house and had everything she needed except someone to play with. She was lonely! Then one morning Edith looked into the garden and there stood two bears!
Police have no suspects, Janssen says she is the only one with a key, and there were no signs of forced entry. Maybe Janssen got the book for Christmas and has been on an 8 month bender and just noticed it... How do YOU think the book got there?
