The last few days have given us heaps of gossip and conjecture about the possibile identity of the new Dark Knight in Warner Bros. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. However it seems that director is more preoccupied with finding a better title for the movie than he is with casting the next guy to don the cowl.

When the sequel to Man of Steel was announced at Comic-Con a couple of weeks back, screenwriter suggested the movie would be called either Batman vs Superman or Superman vs Batman. The fact that Warner Bros. also purchased these domain names led us to believe that these were the titles of choice for the movie.

However a source close to fan site Superman Homepage has revealed that Snyder is deeply involved in choosing a new title and is taking inspiration from a couple of older comics.

The source claims:

Zack Snyder may currently be more involved with movie title possibilities and how to represent the film, with the director looking at "World's Finest" and "Public Enemies" ideas for inspiration.

The World's Finest was published by DC between 1941 and 1986, before being updated to Public Enemies: Superman/Batman which ran from October 2003 to August 2011. Although Bats and Supes' opposing viewpoints and antagonisms towards each other were a theme of the publications, on the whole the crime-fighting duo were depicted as the best of friends. If Snyder is looking at these too titles for inspiration, does that mean that we will see the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel work together instead of smashing each other in the face?

I want to hear from you guys. What title would give to the Man of Steel sequel? Drop your suggestions in the comment section below.
