20th Century Fox has revealed the launch dates for several of their highly anticipated films for 2014 and 2015.

Independence Day 2 will release on July 3, 2015 and will be directed by Emmerich.

X-Men: Days of Future Past has been moved from July 18, 2014 to May 23, 2014. Directed by Bryan Singer, the film will see the return of many of the original actors from the first trilogy such as Hugh Jackman, Ian Mckellen, Patrick Stewart, Anna Paquin and Ellen Page. More recent actors from First Class like Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence will also be making an appearance. We'll also be seeing some new faces including Peter Dinklage, Booboo Stewart, Omar Sy and Fan BingBing.

The film adaptation of Assassin's Creed will be released on June 19, 2015. It'll star Michael Fassbender and will be directed by Michael Leslie.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has been moved from May to July 18, 2014.

Peregrine's Home for Peculiars will be hitting the theatres on July 31, 2015. Based on the novel by Ransom Riggs, the film adaptation will be fittingly directed by Tim Burton with a script written by X-Men: First Class' Jane Goldman.
