Catching Fire is the sequel to The Hunger Games, and in my opinion the best book of the trilogy! If you are aware of what happens, then I think you will agree that, judging from the trailers, it has the potential to be mind blowing!

The twists, the new characters, the plot, the violence (let's hope it's a little more daring than the first film!). And last but not least, the guy the fan girls have all been dying to meet: Finnick Odair!

I don't know about you, but I was slightly disappointed when I saw Sam Claflin had been cast. I had been expecting someone more muscular and chiseled, especially after seeing some of the other character considerations. However, when I saw the posters I was pleasantly surprised! The hair and make up – not to mention the Photoshop work – certainly help him look the part.

Anyway! Enough of me checking out the male characters! Let's get serious.

I genuinely cannot believe how excited I am about seeing Catching Fire. In particular, I can't wait to see the visual effects, which I'm pretty sure weren't an easy job for the special effects team!

As well as that, the costumes are fantastic looking! I loved seeing the book come to life, and I seriously doubt the costumes will disappoint the fans; all I could think of was that they would be the best halloween outfits ever, and suitable for any occasion in which you wanted to stand out from the crowd. That said, it would probably be good to stay away from those crazy Capitol wigs!

The latest trailer shows the new characters who are victors from previous games. I was happy they did this as you can already start deciding which characters you will loathe and which ones you will support.

  • Catching Fire is intense: if you weren't very fond of the first film and it left you feeling slightly disappointed, then take note as I say this. Judging from the book, the film will stir up all kinds of emotions for you: it will make you angry, scared, nervous and impressed.

I just hope that the trailer hasn't promised too much and gives the fans what they deserve: an epic live-action sequel. Suzanne Collins better have put her foot down! Just a shame we all have to wait another few months to find out which scenes were kept and which were cut.

Now, if you will excuse me, I'm off to finish Mocking Jay.

If you haven't already done so, check out the OFFICIAL trailer NOW!
