First of all, let me state that I am not a fan of Sony and Fox owning film rights of some of Marvels characters. That be as it may, they do and we all have to live with it. I do have a way that they can all get paid and tell great stories at the same time, however, starting with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Here's how:

Since it has been confirmed that Peggy Carter is in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and her niece, Sharon will be introduced to the franchise I propose that the third Captain America movie be titled: The Death of Captain America. You read that right and here is why and how it could be a GREAT thing for all the actors and Studios involved.

First Point
In the Comics there is a story arc that has Sharon Carter supposedly killing Captain America under mind control of Dr. Faustis one of the Red Skull's Associates. Since she is being introduced in the winter soldier it isn't that big a leap to seeing that exact thing happening in the third movie.

Second Point
If they go that route and Sony, Fox & Disney can agree on legal issues then we can get the five stages of grief mini-series as ether a stand alone film, stand alone series of films, or at the very least sub-plots of upcoming movies.

For those not in the know the breakdown of the five stages of grief storyline goes like this character-wise:

  • Wolverine: Denial (Wolverine/X-men- Fox movie property);
  • Avengers: Anger (Avengers-Marvel Studios and Daredevil-Fox Studios) possible re-boot for Daredevil franchise;
  • Hawk-eye: Bargaining (Avengers/possible Hawk-eye stand alone film(s)-Marvel Studios);
  • Spider-man: Depression (Spiderman-Sony Studios);

and finally,

  • Iron-man: Acceptance (Ironman-Marvel Studios).

and my Final Point of this article is simply this:
If the studios go this route then Chris Evans fulfils ALL of his remaining movie commitments for the Captain America character and keeps from having the fall-out of Christian Bale leaving the Batman franchise by simply following the storyline of Death of Captain America and having Sebastian Stan (by then a very well-established character in the franchise) as the winter soldier take over the mantle of Captain America at Iron-man's request.

There you have it, folks. My Idea on how the studios can make lots of money and keep us all happy and entertained as well as the actors involved in work for years to come. What do you think?
