Andrew Jodorowsky's Dune is a documentary that depicts the over 35 year failure of Jodorowsky to make a film adaptation of Frank Herbert's Science Fiction novel.

The not so fondly remembered David Lynch version was the sad desert child of the wasted initial effort that spent millions for a screenplay that clocked in at a rather lumber-some 14 hours.

At some point Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd and Magma were recruited to write music. H.R. Geiger and Jean Giraud were commissioned to make sets and character design. The special effects department saw Dan O' Bannon and Salvador Dali come and go. The announced cast included Orson Welles and Gloria Swanson.
