According to Variety and an Oliver Stone tweet, Warner Brothers will re-release Stone's 1991 film "JFK" in theaters and on blu-ray.

The director tweeted: “WB is re-releasing ‘JFK’ theatrically in NY, LA, and DC 11/6–11/14. Also, at some 250+ Cinemark, Regal, and AMC theaters on 11/17 and 11/20,” Stone tweeted.

‘WB is also re-releasing ‘JFK’ on BR in a new box set on 11/12,” he added. “Included is something I think makes a difference—Ch 6 of ‘Untold History.’”

This comes coincidentally after an op ed piece in the Chicago Tribune where Stone is still defending his film nearly 25 years later from its attackers. http://moviepilot.com/posts/1121994-oliver-stone-opinion-piece-in-the-chicago-tribune-setting-the-record-straight-on-the-assassination-of-president-kennedy

"JFK" was released on December 20, 1991 and did well both critically and commercially, grossing $205 million worldwide and winning two Academy Awards. Stone also his third Golden Globe for Best Director Motion Picture for "JFK".

I'm a huge fan of "JFK" I think its a masterpiece, one of the greatest films ever made and I'm really psyched it's back in the spotlight once again. It's a hypnotic film, perhaps the best edited film ever made (it won an Oscar for Best Film Editing).
