With 20th Century Fox currently having Josh Trank working on a Fantastic Four reboot, all’s very quiet in terms of casting the actual FF team. All we’ve really heard so far is that Michael B. Jordan is rumoured for the role of Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch. Well, Variety is reporting on some names that Fox is looking to get in to test for certain roles.

Apparently up for role of Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, we have Game of Thrones‘ Kit Harrington, This is England‘s Jack O’Connell and Rabbit Hole‘s Miles Teller. As for Sue Storm, aka Invisible Woman, 127 Hours‘ Kate Mara, The Wolf of Wall Street‘s Margot Robbie and the ‘linked to every big geeky film’ Saoirse Ronan. It’s also claimed that Jordan is still in the running for the Human Torch. No news as of yet on Ben Grimm, aka The Thing, although Terry Crews recently made it clear that he’d love to tackle that role.

It definitely seems like Fox are going for a youthful Fantastic Four team, especially considering Reed and Sue are often depicted as a lot older than the above actors and actresses. I guess the FF clearly need to 'get down with the kids' in these modern times.

At present, the FF script is being tweaked by Simon Kinberg, with a 6th March, 2015 release date currently planned.
