I have always been a fan of superhero movies and Spiderman has always been on top of my list. Maybe it's also because these movies always seem to open on my birthday weekend. When I first saw the Amazing Spiderman I thought it was alright, but when they announced they were filming scenes for the sequel in my hometown of Rochester, NY over the summer I had to give it another chance.

I'm glad I did! I really enjoyed it much more on the second viewing.

I have heard many people say they are concerned about the amount of villians they are putting in the sequel. We have Electro, the Rhino, Norman and Harry Osborn. Rumours of Gwen Stacy's death certainly suggests The Green Goblin will be there too. I know the Lizard( a cameo maybe?) was locked up at the end of the last one but that had to be Norman Osborn/the Green Goblin he was talking to at the end. I happen to really like the casting for these roles too.

The Green Goblin concerns me a little though. I loved the Raimi movies but was dissappointed that the actor with the most perfect facial expresions for the character in my opinion, had his face covered by a power ranger mask. The Ultimate Spiderman Green Goblin to me is a bit too much of an "Abomination" for me also. So I can't wait to not only see what they do with him but also how many of the Sinister Six get established here.

I love the movie making process too. I don't think a lot of people realize the amount of time and effort that goes into the process for instance Main st. Rochester was closed down for ten days while they shot one chase sequence that might last 5 minutes. This angered many businesses that claimed to have lost money. As one Shoe store manager said "I love Spiderman, but Spiderman ain't got no shoes!" He was the only guy I felt sorry for though. So I want this film to be a success because I would love to see more big productions come back here. Maybe the crew will buy some shoes from this guy!

The news that reshoots were being done in NY City this weekend reminded me of all this. It also renewed my hope that this will not only be a successful movie but an entertaining Franchise.

Hope you enjoyed these behind the scene pics. Please let me know your thoughts below!
