Whenever I think about Batman super-villains, I think of various villains such as the Joker, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Ra's al Ghul, Bane and Riddler. But I have to say, my #1 favorite Batman villain is the Penguin. Now everyone who has read the comics probably already knows that Penguin is described as a legitimate businessman in Gotham City. But at the same time, he came up with various villainous schemes to control all of Gotham while trying to kill Batman, who always seemed to get in his way. Now turning the tide to the media, we found that Penguin was recognizable as being played by Burgess Meredith in the 1960's TV series as a criminal mastermind. He also was portrayed as a grotesque deformed villain in Tim Burton's 1992 movie Batman Returns. But now that the Dark Knight Trilogy is complete, I ask myself 'Will they feature Penguin again in the movies?'
While reports are surfacing that there is to be another Batman reboot movie, nothing has been confirmed as of right now. But I think that the Penguin should be the villain in the first of the 2nd rebooted series of Batman films (if they ever do it).
What do you think about this? Did you like Danny DeVito's Penguin? Let me know in the comments below
