After having just got home from a midnight showing of Thor: The Dark World, I have news on what to expect in the post-credits scenes. Yes, I said scenes, as in plural. In fairness, one of the scenes is a mid-credits scene, and then there’s a scene after the credits. It goes without saying, there’s some spoilers here.

The mid-credits scene features Benicio Del Toro’s The Collector. The villain for James Gunn’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy, The Collector is featured in a scene where he’s visited by Ray Stevenson’s Volstagg and Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif. Volstagg and Sif are there to give the character an infinity crystal to look after. Del Toro is just totally different to anything we’ve seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His delivery, his movements, his creepy, understated sinister edge… it’s hard to explain. Definitely promising for Guardians.

As for the actual post-credits scene, that’s nothing too imaginative. With Thor having left Earth, Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster is again pining for the God of Thunder. All of sudden, the weather changes, Thor lands outside her door and the two kiss. We’re then also shown an otherworldly creature (who had appeared in the film’s climax) chasing some birds in London.

I just thought I'd share the love, and I'd expect a review up at some point tomorrow. It's 3am here, so I'm not sure if I've got enough in the tank to do a full review right now.
