So we all know that X-Men: Days of Future Past released its first trailer just a few days ago. The film is set for release on May 23rd next year. Looking at the story for the movie, it is set in the present and the past when the X-Men send Wolverine back in time to change a major event that could have ended all mutation. So that's it right? Well, I kind of see this as a story that is similar to the late 1980's-early 1990's Back to the Future trilogy a little bit.
So the majority of Back to the Future is set in the past between 1885 in Part 3 and 1955 in both Part 1 and Part 2 of the trilogy. But will the X-Men universe be getting a story similar to the Back to the Future movies? We all know that the X-Men universe is set in various times with the original 3 movies and the two back-story movies with Origins, Wolverine and First Class, while The Wolverine is set after X-Men 3 right? Now we get a film that is a superhero time travel movie. What do you think about this? Will it be similar to Back to the Future? Or is it a different type of time-travel story? As always, leave me your comments below.
