Yes, I just used the word 'stylee' in the title of a post. Check me getting down with the kids... well, the kids of probably the late-1990s. Either way, I digress...

As the title suggests, there's an Addams Family movie reboot coming, although it will be of the animated variation. Variety has the scoop, claiming that MGM is in final talks with BermanBraun over the project. Being quite the eager beaver, Pamela Pettler is already signed, sealed, delivered to write the script. Pettler is best known for penning Corpse Bride and Monster House. Also on board, Andrew Mittman and Kevin Miserocchi will serve as executive producers on the project.

Made up of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Lurch, Grandmama, Wednesday, Pugsley, and Thing, The Addams Family originally started life as a comic strip, running from 1938 until 1988. The material was also turned into a live-action TV show, an animated series, several movies, some video games, and much, much more. No details are known on a release date for this, but expect more as it becomes available.

Man, am I the only one that misses the original The Addams Family and The Munsters TV shows?
