I saw a trailer for the movie The Amazing Spiderman, and I thought, 'Great, just another way to make more money off the franchise, redoing movies'. But my fiance wanted to go see the movie in theaters, and if it weren't for my love of nachos I probably wouldn't have gone. But luckily I did. The movie was so much better that the original ones made. I really liked the Spiderman with Tobey Maguire, which was why I was so skeptical to watch The Amazing Spiderman. But The Amazing Spiderman was better on so many levels. For example, It explains about peter's parents and how he came to live with his aunt and uncle.

Also, we get to meet his actual first love with Gwen Stacy. In the comic book he doesn't meet Mary Jane till college, compared to the original movie where Mary Jane is his first love whom he meets in high school. Another difference I found between the movies is that The Amazing Spiderman pursued the comic book when it came to how he shoots his webbing. In the original movies, Peter Parker develops the ability to shoot webs directly for his wrist from the spider bite. But in The Amazing Spiderman, peter doesn't develop this ability and creates the webbing and the web shooting machine. Although The Amazing Spiderman and the comic book differ slightly within this aspect; in the comic book Peter designs the webbing and the webbing machine himself with his own understanding of science, but in the movie we gets the webbing from Oscorp and creates the web shooting machine himself. I found the new spiderman to follow the comic book better and have me sitting on the edge of my seat to the end wondering that was going to happen in the next movie. What really happened to peters parents? What is Spiderman's new adventure? I saw the teaser trailer for The Amazing Spiderman 2, and now can not wait to see it in theaters, with, or without the nachos.
