Somewhat old news here folks, but there hasn't been any updates to this movie, so look no further! I've got all the details here!

During a recent AMA done last October to promote his movie "Man Of Tai Chi" Keanu was asked for updates on the "Cowboy Bebop" movie he was supposed to star in.

The news was not so good.

He said...

"Cowboy Bebop does not look like it is going to happen with me in it, The script that was written was great and amazing, but it would cost like half a billion dollars to make it...I wished and hoped I would have done that project."

Now he first became involved with the project back in 2009 and the writers nailed a very nice script, BUT these movies cost money and with it being a movie about space traveling bounty hunters it would definitely come with a nice sized budget, and it deserves one!

Cowboy Bebop is one of the few Anime movies that would actually work in live action! who could ever forget that embarrassment known as "DragonBall Evolution" That movie was a big slap in the face to the Anime itself and I think as anime fans, we would all prefer to not see things like that happen again. DragonBall Z is just one of those things that needs to stay animated.

Cowboy Bebop is an entirely different story, This anime isn't to out there, it looks like something that could actually happen in real life in the distant future.

Now, Lets look at one thing Keanu said...

"Cowboy Bebop does not look like it is going to happen with me in it" key words there being "With Me In It" This project could still happen, given they rewrite the script to meet the demands of the budget. Which I'm sure they will definitely do that, but for now this movie is sitting still awaiting a rewrite.

So how do you all feel about this? Would you even want to see a live action Cowboy Bebop movie? are you disappointed that Keanu Reeves is no longer involved with it?
