The guys over SchmoesKnow are reporting that the long-mooted Ghostbusters 3 has offered roles to Superbad‘s Jonah Hill and The Amazing Spider-Man‘s Emma Stone. The roles are apparently those of Jeremy and Anna, who are rumoured to be the children of some of the original two films' characters.

Ghostbusters 3 is very, very close to being given the go-ahead from Sony, although Bill Murray is still currently not on board. Big boo to that. That’s not final, though, and Murray has been on/off/on/off/on/off the project for a few years now. There’s even talks of him returning in the form of a ghost, so it gives the fans some more Murray screen-time but also writes the actor out of the series from there on out.

Expect more on this as it develops.
