For those who have yet to see Thor: The Dark World, I say… "Why haven't you seen it yet?" just kidding.
Seriously I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet so please, if you haven't seen the movie- then go read one of my *Other* posts. Ok, for those who have already seen it, lets talk "End Credits." We learn from the end credits that both the Tesseract and the Aether (The Dark Energy that the Dark Elves tried to destroy the Nine Realms with) are both Infinity Stones. Rather than keep these two items together in Odin's Vault, They are divided and the Aether is given to the Collector for safekeeping (or perhaps not.) So we know that the gems that make up the Infinity Gauntlet (in the comics) are not the same as the Infinity Stones of the Cinematic Universe. I wonder if the relic that was taken from the Frost Giants in the 1st Thor movie is also an Infinity Stone? It was the source of their power right? It will be interesting to see what the other four stones in fact are and who has them. I think the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy will shed more light on that subject. We know that Thanos is after the Infinity Gauntlet. Perhaps he already has some of the Stones? I'm sure these and many other questions will be answered in the remainder of Phase II which will culminate with Avengers: Age of Ultron. In the meanwhile, I thought Thor: The Dark World was a great movie, much better than Iron Man 3. Also, The trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier gives me high hopes for 2014. Guardians of the Galaxy looks bizarre but cool! Let me know what you think of Thor: The Dark World and let me hear your Infinity Stone theories.
