I don't know how many of you were just as surprised as I was after last week's episode when I saw Malcolm Merlyn appear from the shadows. As surprised as I was, this was also somewhat expected. Merlyn was known to be part of a group called the League of Assassins or, what we are more familiar with, the League of Shadows from The Dark Knight trilogy. These are both the same thing, just the name was changed the The Dark Knight trilogy.

Some of you may know already, but Merlyn, to my assumption, is immortal. I'm not saying this just because he came back to life after being stabbed in the heart because there are some facts that can prove he is. The more hardcore fans may be able to answer more questions further but this is what I can tell you from my understanding.

Malcolm Merlyn is part of the League of Assassins which grants the ability of "immortality". I will use immortal very carefully though as it is not the kind of immortality as a God. Ra's al Ghul, the founder the the L.O.A., discovered this pit called the Lazarus Pit. I don't exactly know detail for detail, but the Lazarus Pit has these chemicals in it that are supposed to heal someone who is on the doorstep of death which is how Ra's has been around for so long. It is more than likely safe to assume that Merlyn was rescued by the L.O.A. and brought to this pit so he can get healed.

Does this mean Sara Lance is immortal? There's a good chance that is true seeing that she was part of the L.O.A. Another twist that was brought up at the end of the episode was that Malcolm was very confident that Thea Queen was is daughter. I'm sorry but I can't imagine Thea being a Merlyn. If she is, what does that mean? I'm really curious about how they will make this twist turn out.

Moving away from Malcolm Merlyn, there was also a rumour I recently heard that Colton Haynes, who plays Roy Harper or better known as Red Arrow, is getting fitted soon. To me that sounds like they're going to bring out Red Arrow sooner than I thought. So far this season is full of surprises and it won't be stopping anytime soon. The next two weeks are repeats I think and the next new episode is supposed to feature the Flash, but only as Barry Allen since he hasn't got his powers yet, which I won't get into since this is an Arrow subjected article.

Arrow is probably about half way through, more or less, the second season. What do you guys think so far? Who else do you think we will see?
