It's starting to all make sense now. And it's kind of cool.
I'm one of the biggest supporters of this next installment of Superman's journey as I loved Man of Steel putting it in my top 5 favorite CBM's of all time (along with Spider-Man 2, Kick Ass, Dark Knight, & The Avengers)
With all the recent news surrounding the sequel to Man of Steel, some people are being rubbed the wrong way about it. I say wait it out because it's common sense they're going to not overcrowd this movie just for a quick buck. This movie is 75+ years in the making. It'll be fine.
I've taken the liberty to take all the news about this movie and compile it to make it clear to the reader what kind of movie both myself and what Snyder is doing and hopefully there are some connections!
MAN OF STEEL II: WORLD'S FINEST
Aside from the obvious cast along with the already returuning lineup from Man of Steel, let's focus on the less obvious.
Jason Momoa as Lobo
As stated in my previous article, Momoa would be an amazing Lobo to team up with (SPOILER, BUT NOT REALLY) Lex Luthor to help destroy Superman for everything that he is. Lobo will be the main villain.
Adam Driver as Dick Grayson/Nightwing:
This casting may not have been true at all. Driver was the definition of "odd choice" but that could've been why he was reportedly considered. He has the build, frame, and can act better than any NW choices I've seen. NW's story can be hinted at in MOS2 and be rightfully introduced in Affleck's standalones.
Callan Mulvey as Lex Luthor
The other half of villains in this sequel playing off of Momoa's Lobo. Just picturing this in my head gives me goosebumps. Reports say he's playing Metallo so we'll see. Save Metallo for a Superman standalone. Leonardo Dicaprio, Mark Strong, would be good picks and whoever WB/DC picks, I'm sure he'll give us one hell of a Lex Luthor.
Whoever you want as Steve Trevor
This role is hard to fancast because you can go for looks therefore maybe sacrificing acting, and vice-versa. I don't know. This ones up to the fans.
Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman
IN A MINOR ROLE. I defend her casting in one of articles. Her role. in my opinion, is going to be discovered by Superman and helps them in the process of taking down Luthor. Her small role is going to pave the way for her own WW standalone.
That's it for this rough interpretation! Let me know what you think!
