The new installment of the Amityville Horrors saga has a release date set for January 2nd 2015. Amityville was put on hold back when it was titled “The Lost Tapes” but later it was announced that the project was still going strong with Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Production teaming up with Dimension Films. Blum spoke to 12 Days of Killmas co-host, William Bibbiani (part of the ShockTillYouDrop Team) at CraveOnline, about the Amityville project and declared : "We’re going to make that movie and it’s very cool. But I don’t quite know yet when."

It will be curious to see if they stuck with the original storyline first reported way back when. Or have they evolved the story way beyond the original concept. Either way anything that has Amityville tagged to it gets me excited so I can’t wait to see this film.

Original synopsis: Amityville showcases the events after the time of the original The Amityville Horror book and movie through found footage dating back to 1976. An ambitious female television news intern, on the verge of breaking the most famous haunted house case in the world, leads a team of journalists, clergymen and paranormal researchers into an investigation of the bizarre events that will come to be known as The Amityville Horror... only to unwittingly open a door to the unreal that she may never be able to close. - See more at:
