Dark Hellsing

Like I've said before, there are many adaptations of film. Films based on Books, Comic Books and Video Games. There have been films based on rides but aren't very popular. People seem to forget Pirates Of The Caribbean was based on a ride and nothing really original. There have been other films based on Disney Rides (not counting the Pirates sequels).

Here's the list.

Tower Of Terror (1997).

Starring: Steven Guttenberg, Kirsten Dunst and Alastair Duncan.

Not Rated.

Directed By: D.J MacHale.

Mission To Mars (2000).

Starring: Gary Sinise, Tim Robins and Don Cheedle.

Rated: PG.

Directed By: Brian De Palma.

The Country Bears (2001).

Starring: Haley Joel Osment, Christopher Walken and Diedrich Bader.

Rated: G.

Directed By: Peter Hastings.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl (2002).

Starring: Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom.

Rated: PG-13.

Directed By: Gore Verbinski.

The Haunted Mansion (2003).

Starring: Eddie Murphy, Terence Stamp and Jennifer Tilly.

Rated: PG.

Directed By: Rob Minkoff.

So obviously the only one that was successful was Pirates Of The Caribbean. It was so successful it got sequels. All the other ones unfortunately either flopped, sucked or were just mediocre. I wonder if they'll make more. What's next? A Jungle Cruise movie? Maybe a Haunted Mansion Reboot. There is an upcoming Tomorrow Land Movie that stars George Clooney and Hugh Laurie. Let's see how that plays out.

If so, what do you predict the future of the track record for Ride Movies will happen. Do you think they'll get better or worse? Please let me know in the comments.
