These are the top ten shows that I have watched on Netflix that I recommend listed by their IMDb rating. They are:
1. Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1998)
This Scifi/Adventure show starred Patrick Stewart before He became Professor X and co-starred Marina Sirtis. It had some big name stars in it as well, since Lavar Burton and Whoppi Goldberg were also in the cast. It has an 8.6/10 Star rating.
2. Arrow (2013-Present)
I was very surprised to find this show on Netflix since it is only in it's second year, but it is so if you missed the first season of this Green Arrow series look no farther and get to watching. It stars Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy. The show has a 8.2/10 Star rating, but expect that to go up before long.
3. Law & Order: SVU (1999-Present)
This Law & Order Spin-off tells the story of the police officers who investigate violent crimes in New York. It stars Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay. The show has a rating 8.0/10 Stars.
4. Dollhouse (2009-10)
This show which starred Fran Kranz and Eliza Dushku told the story of a woman code-named echo, whom could be programmed to be anyone you wanted. for a price. She and all of the other subjects in the dollhouse agreed to have their memories erased for five years at which time they would get their memories back and receive payment for their services. It was a Joss Whedon Show, so it is definitely worth a look. It has a star rating of 7.7/10.
5. Magnum P.I. (1980-88)
This Crime show had Tom Selleck starring as the head of security for a famous writer's estate as well as a Private Detective. It had Gillian Dobb as a frequent Co-Star. It has a rating of 7.4/10 stars.
6. Charmed (1998-2006)
This Drama/Fantasy starred Brian Krause as a "Whitelighter", An Angel who is assigned to help Good Witches, and Alyssa Milano as one of three witches known as "The Charmed Ones", whom he was to protect. I think it is a very good show for men and women to watch together, specially as a date type show. It has a rating of 6.9/10 Stars.
7. Numbers (2005-10)
This is the favorite show I am watching at this time. I am almost through season four as of this writing. It tells the story of how an FBI Agent, His College Math Professor Brother, Their Architect Dad, and some friends solve crimes and put Bad Guys in Prison using Math. It stars David Krumholtz and Navi Rawat as the Math Brother and his Girlfriend. It also has a 6.9/10 stars, but had fewer seasons than Charmed allowing it to be put in the lucky number seven position on my list. I wonder what Profess Epps would have to say about that?
8. Knight Rider (1982-86)
Everybody I knew watched this show, because we all wanted to own a car like K.I.T.T. This car was amazing, it is now in the Show-car Museum. When I saw it years ago the guide said it cost 10 Million Dollars to make because it did everything except go over 300 miles an hour and talk. The show starred David Hasselhoff and Patricia McPherson as an ex-police officer working undercover and his car's Mechanic respectively. It was the first show I watched where a woman was portrayed as being able to do what was considered a man's job and still look good afterwards. It has 6.8/10 stars.
9. CSI: Miami (2002-12)
This is one of my favorite Crime Shows, but to be Honest I like the original CSI: Las Vegas better. However, it isn't on Netflix at this time, so I go with my backup plan. This show tells the story of the Crime Scene Investigators that work for the Miami/Dade County Police Department as they take on different cases. It stars David Caruso and Emily Proctor as the top two in the unit. It has a 6.3/10 star rating.
10. Ghost Whisperer (2005-10)
This show is so good that I have watched it all the way through TWICE and am thinking about doing it again. It stars David Conrad as a Firefighter and Jennifer Love Hewitt as his Antique shop owner Girlfriend/Wife, who can see and talk to ghosts. All of the actors on the show were well-cast and I wish she would agree to make the long rumored sixth and final season to close it out, but I don't see that happening any time soon. It only has a 6.2/10 star rating, but I think that is because a lot of people didn't give it a chance.
There you have them, folks. Ten shows that are on Netflix that I highly recommend you at least watch two episodes of each to see if you like them or not. As always comment below if I missed a show you like, keep it clean, and follow me on Twitter@jdseigars if you choose.
