Here's what The Global Dispatch is telling us:
1st Speculation: Bryan Cranston has been cast as Lex Luthor in the Untitled Superman/Batman Movie.
AMC offshoot podcast Team Amasian are claiming that they’ve 100% confirmed that Cranston will play the villain in the Batman Vs. Superman themed sequel to Man Of Steel.
The ladies say they can’t reveal their sources, but the same ones also claim that Ben Affleck will sport an Alex Ross inspired Batman costume in the movie – check out the video below. AMC’s John Campea took to Twitter last week claiming a couple of “untested sources” revealed to him that Cranston would play Luthor.
“I like Lex Luthor,” Cranston said in a August interview about the rumor. “I think he’s misunderstood. He’s a loveable, sweet man.”
Cranston confessed that his wife may not be too happy about the role. “She wasn’t so keen on the bald head,” Cranston admits. “The bald head ages a man. It’s just that she didn’t know me that way.”
Sources have confirmed to The Dispatch that Doomsday will be a part of the film in some way.
Bryan Cranston has been HEAVILY fancasted as Lex Luthor so this so-called "confirmation" would sit right with a lot of fans.
2nd Speculation: Ben Affleck's Batman would be interpreted from the Alex Ross/Kingdom Come version.
According to Kaori on Amasian News, “My sources revealed to me what type of Batman is going to be in this movie. Ben Affleck is actually going to be the Alex Ross version of Batman, so that’s the more gray version.”
Not very much on the topic but still a great scoop nonetheless. We knew Batfleck was going to be older, wiser and more world-weary but giving us a much more clearer version of what character he'll be interpreting with this Alex Ross news makes us (well myself, at least) a better understanding of what Ben Affleck is going to bring to this role.
