Frozen took the #1 spot at the box office this past weekend with $19.5 million and by now it has crossed the $300 million, great success for the animated movie. Following Frozen, came new runner, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones with $18.3 million, I feel this is a bit disappointing since it’s the first weekend it came out and it might be signs that the franchise is dying. The Hobbit: DOS came in third with $15.7 million, first weekend that doesn’t take the top, maybe it will reclaim it next weekend since it seems like a constant fight between the two juggernauts. Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle came in fourth and fifth respectively each making under $14 million.

Coming out this weekend we have, The Legend of Hercules (the one without the rock in it) it hasn’t done much marketing and I don’t expect much critical response from it, also we have Lone Survivor and Her expanding, both to be very impacting movies that will probably creep into the top 5 of the weekend. My prediction is:

1. The Hobbit: DOS

2. Frozen (interchangeable with The Hobbit)

3. Lone Survivor

4. The Legend of Hercules

5. Wolf of Wall Street
