The Walking Dead star Andrew Lincoln has promised the worst is yet to come when the show returns in February.
Speaking to Yahoo Movies, the man who plays anti-hero Rick Grimes revealed:
I think that three of the strongest episodes we’ve done this season are yet to come. Probably four. There are two episodes that I absolutely adore in the back eight, one of which I think is going to be the most controversial episode that we’ve probably ever been involved in, and that’s saying something.
Considering that we've seen stabbings, shootings, beheadings and the exile of a major character, that is some claim.
But Lincoln wasn't finished there:
I will stress this as well. You haven’t even seen the half of it yet. The back eight is more radical than ever before. It’s almost a tale of two seasons. It really is that radical, the difference between the first eight and the back eight.
The group no longer has the security of the prison walls for protection so anything can happen to them now they are out in the open and vulnerable. Without wanting to give too much away, I think we might see a controversial storyline involving Lizzie and Mika, and perhaps the introduction of the Hunters.
You've been warned.
