In what seems like the never-ending span of rumors for this movie, we've got another one. Let's get right into it:
ComicBookMovie.com tells us:
My source, General Napier, has informed me that Josh Holloway ("Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol"), who played the role of James "Sawyer" Ford in ABC's hit-television series Lost, is being "strongly" considered for a role in Zack Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman.
Information about who he might be playing in the Man of Steel sequel was not provided. The 44-year-old actor is currently starring in Intelligence, which is a new prime-television series on CBS.
Now this is just another rumor about Zack Snyder's Untitled Superman/Batman film. We can only take this with a grain of salt but let's speculate here, just for a quick second:
Josh Holloway as Arthur Curry/Aquaman:
He's been in my Top 3 for Aquaman for some time now along with Alexander Skargard & Liam McIntyre. If cast in this role in the MOS sequel, no doubt in my mind he would be Arthur Curry throughout the movie only to be revealed as Aquaman in a post-credit scene or what have you.
Josh Holloway as John Corben/Metallo:
As we still don't know (for absolute sure) who is playing Lex Luthor in the sequel and who's going to be the 2nd villain, many have speculated Metallo, I can see this working. Still a huge supporter of a Lobo/Luthor teamup in MOS2 but my fantasy is quickly shrinking *sigh*
Josh Holloway as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow:
He has the look for it and I prefer the Green Arrow with the long hair and beard it just looks more like GA and has a more authentic feel to it. In case they don't merge the TV universe, Holloway would be a great OQ/GA.
Josh Holloway as Lex Luthor:
Now hear me out on this, it makes much more sense than you think:
During an interview on MOS, the interviewer asks Zack Snyder what he thought of a modern lex Luthor. Snyder responds:
The video was from Yahoo therefore it was unable to post on this article.
I don't know. I think you'd just have to imagine like a combination of, you know, Richard Branson and Brad Pitt I guess" Snyder told Yahoo! Movies UK. "Mixed together!"
"They had a child, through science!" he laughed.
Now back to my point: If this is what Snyder's imagining of a modern-day Lex Luthor, a mixture of Richard Branson and Brad Pitt, doesn't Holloway fit that almost perfectly?! His character of Sawyer mixed with the gentleman-ly looks of both guys, I think we have something here:
