An adventure a couple of years in the making, Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World has found its male lead, with Parks and Recreation and Guardians of the Galaxy star, Chris Pratt, set to take a journey to the dino island.

The casting news was announced by Ron Howard, whose daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard, will appear opposite Pratt in the movie:

This sweet tweet comes from the red carpet of the Golden Globes where the future co-stars met for the first time.

There's no word yet on what role Pratt will play in the highly-anticipated sequel, but landing the lead gig in Jurassic World, as well being front and center for Guardians of the Galaxy, is a further sign that Pratt's star is inexorably on the rise.
