Yes that is a set image, and yes there are only seven more months till we see it all on the big screen! With the cast complete and filming almost done, you probably didn't know that the third installment for Rurôni Kenshin comes out a month after 'The Great Kyôto Fire Arc' entitled 'Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend' which will open on September 13. Of course we'll all have to wait a few months for subtitling, but to think it's so close to ending already has my heart shattered.
I'm secretly, but doubtfully, hoping that 'The End of a Legend' will tackle the fight against Yukishiro Enishi, but so far no news on the matter, so don't get your hopes up. As for the progress and behind-the-scenes of 'The Great Kyoto Arc' according to costume designer Kazuhiro Sawataishi (the designer for all three live-action Rurouni Kenshin films) it takes about an hour to dress up Tatsuya Fujiwara in his Shishio outfit, covering him in a hard plaster-like material from head to toe. The amount of dedication this team has to appeasing the fans is incredible, and is greatly appreciated.
When this trilogy does end in September I'm hoping this team continues making long loved cult series' into live-actions. This is probably one of the only teams I'd trust with such a task.
Signing off now with the teaser video. Prepare for goosebumps and ENJOY!
