My worst nightmare has come true in cinema, a Quentin Tarantino film that was set to exist is no longer happening for our viewing pleasure.

According to Mike Fleming Jr of Deadline.com, he got word from the man himself that his first draft has leaked today. He handed it out personally to a small group of people who he thought he could clearly trust and narrowed it down to either...

Michael Madsen who has worked in several of Quentin's films already is one of the two suspects. Given their history I'd hope he wouldn't be dumb enough to ruin it now, I find it doubtful.

Bruce Dern, our second suspect. Now this is surprising seeing how much high praise Quentin's given him and I myself would of loved to see him in this. I find him more believable to have been responsible for the leak than Madsen but if so, Dern should be more than wise enough to know better than to let his agent get his hands on it.

No matter who gave it to their agents, it happened and now out of probably and rightfully so, pure anger and hurt from betrayal, he isn't directing it anytime soon. Those who really keep up with him know that he plans on writing after he retires from directing. This being said, given the situation at hand he will turn it into a book and release it, according to Fleming's interview. If it does well and he feels like he's still interesting in it around 5 years from now, theres a possibility he'd consider directing it again.

"I’ll publish it. I’m done. I’ll move on to the next thing. I’ve got 10 more where that came from." - QT

With that being said, I can start to find some comfort in this.
