Like every other superhero movie fan I would love to see the JLA onscreen. However, this Man of Steel sequel with Batfleck is already starting off bad, in my opinion of course. It feels rushed and awkwardly pushed forward for the sake of competing with Marvels movie projects. It's only fair to Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot that they should be given their own movies to make the roles truly theirs. Wonder Woman is the most iconic female superhero of all time. Having set the bar for female superhero characters since her beginning, she deserves a lot more than a cameo in a Supes/Bats flick. If Gal Gadot is to make this role hers, she should be allowed to suit up and tell the story of the Amazon Princess from the beginning. Wonder Woman warrants her own stage, and the DC movie powers should grant it to her. Ben Affleck's choice to don the cape and cowl of the Dark Knight has come with a load of controversy.

Fan boys everywhere screamed foul the day he was cast, and it sure doesn't help when best friend Matt Damon states that Ben is bigger than the role of the Caped Crusader, but I honestly think Ben Affleck would make a great Batman. He has the look, and certainly has the build. Yea, the dirty laundry of movies past may prevent the die hard Bat-Fan from accepting this risk, but no one can say that Ben Affleck doesn't have the movie chops to pull off a great Bruce Wayne. No offense to Henry Cavill, but if he got to play what many say is the greatest hero of all time on-screen by himself, then why shouldn't Ben Affleck? Christian Bale served up a version of Batman that is the standard to which all other versions should be compared to, and I say that with the utmost respect for Michael Keaton's 1989 Batman which started it all. If George Clooney, and Val Kilmer had a go at Batman without sharing the screen with a major DC hero like Superman then it is only right to have Ben Affleck play the role opposite no one, except maybe Robin or Nightwing. It doesn't have to start from the origin people, we all know the story very well. The only way in my opinion that a Batman/Superman movie would truly work is if Christian Bale takes up the mantle of the Bat and gives the die-hard Bat-Fans the dream movie they all wanted to begin with, but since that ain't happening then this route to JLA would work best.
