1984 was a great year for movies. The Terminator, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Beverly Hills Cop, Gremlins, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Police Academy, This is Spinal Tap, Revenge of the Nerds, Purple Rain, The Karate Kid, Splash, and Red Dawn were all released.

Bottleneck Gallery in Brooklyn is showcasing an exhibition β€œIt Came From 1984β€³, for all films American celebrating their 30th anniversary. The exhibition opens February 7th and runs for a few weeks. Artists represented include Alex leighton, Andy Hau, Barret Chapman, Ben Huber, Christian Garland, Cuyler Smith, Dave Slebodnick, Dave Song, David Mottram, Drew Wise, Carlos Lerma, Paul shipper, James Boorman, Kyle Crawford, Oliver Aukin, Sam Carter, Sam Gilbey, Steve Hughes, Marco Dalfo, Matthew Skiff, Timothy Pittides and Tom McWeeny.
