The growth of the video game industry has been quite explosive since Pong back in 1972. Video games have grown from 8 bit side scrollers you would play to kill 10 minutes before you left for the disco, to virtual realities with beautiful, very realistic graphics and extremely well written plot lines and story telling that rivals that of some of the most talented movie directors and screen play writers.

Above you can see the explosion of complexity in the graphics and gameplay that I mentioned in the first paragraph.

Now heres where I finally get to the point.

With titles like Grand Theft Auto IV and The Last of Us, that have recruited a team of very talented voice actors and writers growing bigger and bigger, International Movie Database (IMDB) has included the video game into their archives. It seems like everyone has jumped on the video game "bandwagon" except Moviepilot. So, I hereby propose that a Video Game category be added to movie pilot's new website. It would take Moviepilot from strictly a movie website for movie buffs, to a lean mean virtual machine that would draw a huge fan base from the gaming community also!

Let me know what you guys think in the comments!
