Jack Bauer returns to once more tell terrorists to shut up when 24: Live Another Day premieres May 5th, but the action show has lost its main villain.

Oscar-nominated actress Judy Davis had been lined up to play Bauer's chief antagonist - "a British national and the widow of a notorious terrorist" - but has had to pull out of the project for personal reasons.

Casting has begun immediately to find a replacement.

In other 24 news, star Kiefer Sutherland has revealed some details about what we can expect in the latest outing for the counter terrorist:

It’s a terrorist threat. I can’t go into it at length but some of the characters that are more familiar to the audience that are coming back, their relationships in these last four years have dynamically changed as well, so it will be very fresh because it feels very fresh to do it right now.

We don't know a great deal about the plot for Live Another Day other than the action takes place in London and Bauer is on the run. But what I do know is that I'm more than a little excited about seeing him once more kicking ass and taking names.
