The Walknig Dead creator, Robert Kirkman, indulged in some self-promotion during last Sunday's episode, "Claimed" - and he used the corpse of a small girl to do it.

As Michonne and Carl cleared the rooms in a house during a supply run, Michonne ventured into a pink-painted bedroom that contained the bodies of four dead children. It was a gruesome discovery but there was more to the playroom of death than just the bodies of the decomposed kiddies: it also contained a nod to one of Kirkman's other comic book titles.

Laying on the chest of one of the kids was a copy of Kirkman's Super Dinosaur #4. Check out the image below courtesy of ComicBook.com:

This isn't the first time Kirkman has dropped an Easter Egg into the show as back in the Season 4 premiere Michonne handed a bunch of comic books to Carl, one of which was another Kirkman creation, Invincible #56.

Clearly being the creator and executive producer on the most popular show on TV has its benefits.
