To some, Farscape was just one of those shows you spotted in the TV listings but never actually watched. To others it was one of the best science fiction shows of recent times.
If you think you belong to the latter group, then have I got some good news for you. News has hit the web that Farscape is returning for a feature length movie. This will be the first time the series has been revisited since its concluding TV mini-series, Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars, a decade ago.
Screenwriter Justin Monjo has penned the treatment, while Brian Henson, the executive producer of the show's four season run and director of The Peacekeeper Wars, will direct.
According to Tor.com, the film will feature the son of John and Aeryn as he heads out into space. Check out a brief outline below:
Set to follow the awesome comics written by our favorite Keith R.A. DeCandido, the film would follow John and Aeryn's son, D'Argo (or Little D, as we will always refer to him). Because their baby was exhibiting a set of interesting powers that made him a magnet for galactic villains, we find that John and Aeryn hide their son on Earth to grow up. Now the kid is 19 and ready to go into space with his parents.
