How does Daryl really feel about Rick sending Carol into exile? It was difficult to gauge his reaction when Rick first told him what he'd done thanks to the Governor deciding to go all 'Shock and Awe' on the group at the prison, but Norman Reedus has revealed that Daryl is far from happy with the situation.
In an interview with Cable TV, Reedus was asked what he thought Daryl's reaction to Carol's exile was, responding:
You know I’ll always have Rick’s back no matter what, and we've all done things in the world that are inexcusable, but we've all been pushed to do things that we would never had done in a normal circumstance. We wanted to leave that conversation as if Daryl’s going, “let me process this for a second,” so that he understands but he’s not done talking about it. So we left it like that, because there’s no way at the end of that scene, Daryl is happy with that decision, but it’s something we’re not done talking about yet. Then we get attacked, and we never get a chance to finish the conversation. We worked on that scene a lot to make it a much better scene so that that conversation is open-ended, and we’re not done talking about it—Daryl is not happy about that at all.
First of all, it's so cool for Reedus to admit that Daryl will "always have Rick's back." Those dudes are seriously tight.
That doesn't mean Daryl is happy with his best friend being sent into exile though. He hasn't had chance to properly process what happened, but with Carol now back in the fold and everybody seemingly converging on Terminus, some awkward questions might need to be asked - starting with asking Carol why she covered up the fact Lizzie is responsible for killing Karen and David (yeah, I just totally went there).
How do you think Daryl will react when he finally catches up with Rick and the rest of the group? Hit me up in the comments below or over on Twitter.
