The mystical allure of James Dean continues from beyond the grave...

Oscar winner and star of Iron Man 3, Ben Kingsley has just signed on to join former Twilight star Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan in Anton Corbijn's upcoming movie, Life, which follows the real-life friendship between photographer Dennis Stock and cooler-than-thou thesp James Dean.

Luke Davies wrote the script, centers on the relationship between 1950s movie star Dean - played by The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star Dane DeHaan - and photographer Dennis Stock - played by Pattinson himself. Stock first discovered Dean shortly before his ascent to stardom thanks to East of Eden, and travelled the country with him taking snaps for Life magazine. These photos went on to become legendary, making Dean a Hollywood icon and Stock a renowned artist.

At the moment, it's not clear what role Ben Kingsley has signed up for in the movie but, regardless, Twilight's Rob Pattinson was put on this earth to star in a movie about James Dean: he's got the pout, the sulky stare, and - above all, the teenage girl following... That said, unfortunately, DeHaan will be playing Dean and Pattinson will play Stock (sorry ladies).

Considering Corbijn was one of the world's best-known rock'n'roll music photographers until he took control in Control (a biopic of another cult figure who died too soon, Joy Division's Ian Curtis), he's definitely got what it takes to make this movie awesome.

Are you excited to see Robert Pattinson and Ben Kingsley star side by side in a movie about the actor who died young and stayed foxy? Yeah, me too...
