Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg are headed back to New Orleans together for the comedy American Ultra, with the movie scheduled to shoot in Louisiana from April 14 to June 10.
The movie marks the second collaboration between Twilight's KStew and Zombieland's Jesse Eisenberg. The two stars already worked together in the coming of age comedy Adventureland, in which the teenage theme part employees formed a friendship which, of course, led to more.
American Ultra centers on Mike (Eisenberg), an unmotivated slacker who lives an uneventful life in a sleepy small town with his girlfriend Phoebe (Stewart) and a lot of pot. Mike has to shift up a gear or two, however, when he becomes the unlikely target of a lethal government operation.
KStew has been working in the indie world since finishing the Twilight movies and Snow White and the Huntsman, having recently wrapped Camp X-Ray and Sils Maria. Similarly, Eisenberg has indie dramas The Double and Night Moves in the can.
Both Hollywood stars have plenty of projects on the go. But this A-team pair-up looks like it might be something extra special for stoners. Anthony Bregman, the movie's producers, said that "Simply put, 'American Ultra' will be the most fun you can possibly have in a movie theater without the use of drugs, fireworks or canola oil."
