Given the scheduling shift of The Maze Runner, fans of the book have likely been hopeful for a new peek at the movie, even if they have to wait until September for the full flick to arrive in theaters.
Although we're still waiting on a clip, Director Wes Ball came through by sharing the below picture, which shows us a rather dystopian image which is - without a doubt - the maze itself. Check it out:
If you haven't read James Dashner's book yet, The Maze Runner follows a young man named Thomas (Dylan O'Brien), who wakes up in a pitch black lift, remembering nothing about his life besides his first name. When the lift eventually comes to a stop and the doors open he finds himself amongst other teenagers in a large expanse they call The Glade. They are surrounded by a maze made of stone walls, hundreds of feet high, changing positions every night. No one in this place remembers who they are, but they are all searching for a way to get out.
Does this first, imposing image of the maze make you excited for The Maze Runner, or are you nervous that the movie won't live up to the book? Let me know in the comment section below!
