April O'Neil reporting for duty!
The Ninja Turtles are back for a slice of live-action adventure in Jonathan Liebsman and Michael Bay's upcoming reboot, featuring the popular sewer-dwelling, reptile ninjas Leonardo (Pete Ploszek), Michelangelo (Noel Fisher), Donatello (Jeremy Howard), Raphael (Alan Ritchson) and - of course - their pal, April.
Production has been underway for the brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a while now. And today, we have a couple of extra set images for you, showing - no, not our favorite pizza-eating heroes in a half shell - but, rather, Megan Fox and Will Arnett in their on-screen threads, taking a break from filming in NYC.
Take a look at these two and see if you're any further to being convinced...
Jonathan Liebsman's upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot has been shrouded in controversy, partly because production responsibilities are resting on Michael Bay. Okay, so he says he's not turning the turtles into aliens anymore, but I'm skeptical. He already ruined Transformers for me, and I don't want him to take this childhood dream away from me, too.
What's also concerning for some fans is the decision to cast Fox as fan-favorite April O'Neil. Needless to say, there's certainly not much of a resemblance to the cartoon character, which - on top of worries about the girl's acting abilities - caused mixed reactions for Turtles lovers... And by "mixed" I mean, mixed between people hating it and people really, really, REALLY hating it. And yes, although Megan brings the movie-star good looks, she also brings a lot of tabloid baggage that could distract from all the nostalgic fun.
Megan, 27, became a second-time mom to on February 12, when she gave birth to her a baby boy, Bodhi Ransom Green. With a new child joining the family, on top of acting duties, one thing's for sure: Megan Fox certainly has her work cut out for her. If she's to convince us of the gumshoe reporter's extra-curricular powers, including her above-average intelligence, fighting and computer skills, oh and yeah, katana - she'd better be working hard! Let's hope that Megan's attitude, looking great in yellow, and general social awkwardness can convince us all...
Now that you're seen how Fox looks on set, are you gradually warming up to the idea of her starring in a live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie? Or are you saying "Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO!" - run for the hills and don't surface from those sewers, not even for pizza?
