2014 has been a decent year so far for comedies with funny movies such as: The Lego Movie, Ride-Along and The Muppets: Most wanted, but its safe to say there needs to be a lot more better comedies. There's 8 months left of this year and I can assure you that the better quality comedies are yet to come. Here's my top 5 list on the best comedies yet to come out and to be worth a watch.

7. 22 Jump Street

The sequel to the decent 21 Jump Street welcomes the return of both Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as they go undercover in college. I thought the first one was pretty funny, this may be similar to the first but the pair work well together so I'm sure this sequel will have some laughs.

6. Bad Words

Bad Words follows a spelling bee loser setting out to get revenge by finding a loophole and attempting to win as an adult. It stars Jason Bateman who has had trouble in the past with being the lead in a comedy as he usually works better with other comedic actors co-starring with him, but this film looks quite funny. From the trailer it looks as if you can predict the ending, but then again you could do that with almost all comedies. (**PS this is already released in some countries**)

5. Sex Tape

Jason Segel reunites with Cameron Diaz when a couple make a sex tape without realizing that the video becomes uploaded on the "cloud" to all their friends, family and even postman and so they're in a hunt to delete it off all their devices. Some nice product advertising subtly by Apple with the constant mentioning of the "cloud". The trailer is out and it looks good, its released this September.

4. Lets Be Cops

New Girl stars Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. star together in a R-Rated comedy where two friends who wear police uniforms to a fancy dress party become local heroes but get tangled up in real life gangsters and mobsters must puts their lives at risk. I honestly think that this looks like a better version of 21 Jump Street. It breaks more rules and doesn't seem to hold back. Also the chemistry of the two lead actors from New Girl is hilarious so that's always a plus.

3. Bad Neighbors

"Family vs Frat"
"Family vs Frat"

Neighbors or Bad Neighbors as its called is some countries is a hilarious looking "frat vs family" comedy starring Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Dean Franco. The trailer looks great no matter how many times I've seen it and the early reviews are good so far! This one is out May 2nd and is sure to be a contender for comedy of the year.

2. Wish I Was Here

Fans favorite Zach Braff is back directing in this comedy that started off so little on Kickstarter that has really taken off. The trailer received 2 millions views in 2 days and has since built quite a momentum. I love Zach Braff both as an actor and a director and not to mention all the other great actors in this like: Donald Faison (Scrubs) and Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory). This film is expected July 2014, I can't wait.

1. A Million Ways To Die In The West

This film is sure to be the comedy of the year. The cast is great: Neil Patrick Harris (HIMYM), Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy), Liam Neeson (Non-Stop) and many more. The trailer looks hilarious, go watch it if you haven't already and with the success of Seth MacFarlane's first movie, Ted, this is sure to be a hit also.
