Right now Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) are all alone in the post-prison Walking Dead world, but we're holding out hope that they'll at least both survive long enough to reunite for one helluva smooch.
Grey-haired stoic survivor, Carol hasn't been reunited with Daryl since Rick sent her into exile, but Daryl Dixon's bezzie could be returning before long. Here's what Norman Reedus had to say about his on-screen, not-quite-there-yet lady lover:
Those two people are very similar. I've always said that damaged people sort of gravitate toward damaged people. They see a lot of themselves in each other. I will say that if they were reunited Daryl would be very happy about that.
I don't know what it is about Norman Reedus' character Daryl on The Walking Dead, but he has that special something that makes the ladies melt - myself included. His relationship with Carol is built on a mutual understanding of what it is like to live through hardship, loss and a life of violence. Perhaps, having been starved of each other's company for such a long time will kick the pair into (tongue) action when they finally meet again...
I've gotten very lucky as an actor on the show to work with her [Melissa McBride] and to work with Emily [Kinney]. Both those actresses are great. You kind of just have to watch them. That's all you really need to do. Yeah, I think they would be very happy.
That man had better not be kidding. Even though a Caryl reunion hasn't been confirmed, it would be too mean of the show's creators to deny us that happiness. I, for one, am a decidedly devout Darly-Carol "shipper" and can't wait for them to lock lips for the very first time... The thought of it is filling my Grinchy-sized heart with so much glee.
